Thank you Eric So as long as it is a Smart tv I do not need the streaming box. So with Smart TV I will only need one power socket in the wall behind the TV  and I will only need to run one cable down to the amp for sound?

I do not watch TV and I completely lost track with the new technology My wife likes to watch a movie over a weekend. We are building a new room and decided it is time to spoil her with a new tv which I might even hook up to one of my amps. BUT I have no cooking clue how these things work...

What are these things? I was after a NAD tuner at an auction but had to buy the whole system. I do not know what these two items are. The Quake thing has a  sub at the bottom, the Russound thing seems to be an amp but it has these strange sockets at the back.

Hi Eric, seems like your holiday is on the net. Good to "see" you In the end the TV antenna thing did not work well, I think the connector on the tuner is too thin, so I just sommer soldered a piece of wire to the centre pin and now it is working Does anybody have an idea how one would program...

Last time used a tuner it had a screw, similar to the center and far right ones in the pic above, where you just connected a normal piece of wire for the antenna, I think it was on old Tempest radio I will try a TV antenna wire, thanx for the help
