    Interesting video

I have been using active subwoofers for many years, not quite as many as some of the users here. But never have I heard that reasing the sub off the ground reduces its effectiveness. Take a listen

    YPAO setup mic

Just a quickie. How crucial is having the correct setup mic for use with the YPAO most av receivers have? If I had a Yamaha, could I use one belonging to lets a Denon or Onkyo receiver? Will using a standard condensor mic fitted with cable to a 3.5mm mono jack work just as well?

    Removing Anodizing From Aluminum

For anybody wanting to remove the color from anodized aluminium, here is a simple and effective way to do it. Takes less than 1 min, and requires only two ingredients. Caustic soda or drain cleaner as its also known, and hot water. The hotter the concoction, the quicker this works. Straight out...

    Vent velocity and then some

Im hoping you guys could give me some advice regarding a little project I might get into. Car battery charger

Good day manne Not audio related in anyway, but Im hoping somebody has a circuit/pcb layout for a car battery charger. Doesnt have to be anything exotic, but must have a cut off when battery is fully charged. Possible floating voltage after that would be nice. I would like to charge upto 100ah...

    Star grounding

Hi all I got a bit of a buzz on my amp modules that I built, was never there before, regardless of anything on the input side or not. Did a bit of Googling, and ground loop seems to come up quite a bit. Some recommend a 1k resistor across the input signal, others a star ground to be the way to...

    Heatsinks

Hi all. How do I know if a heatsink I have here at home will be adequate for a for a amplifier module? I did a bit of Googling, and all I can some up with is heatsink calculations for a heatsink that is still to be bought. If that makes any sense at all. Modules in question is the RAS32 class A...

    RAS32 Class A

Thought I would share this build with you guys. Im still working on a proper chassis, and need to get the proper PSU and bigger heatsinks. Build is simple enough, using common and easy to get components. I used the iron on method for both layout as well as overlay. I dont have much to compare it...
