I am very new to valves (tubes) and just acquired a small 2 watt Vox valve guitar head amp. I would like to change the preamp valves to something a little warmer. Current setup is Pre=2 x 12AX7, Power=1 x 12AU7. Any suggestions that could cleanup the sound a little bit?

Bought a Yamaha CDC-585 5 disc at cash converters for R350 and it works great apart from the tray needing a little nudge to close. Suspect its the belt. Any idea where I can get a belt for it?

Hi guys My main right speaker output has died. No warning.. Just dead. All the other outputs are working perfectly. I checked all the cables countless time and swopped speakers ect to no avail. Can anyone recommend someone who can repair it in Joburg? I'm reluctant to take it to the agents...

The Garrard has sentimental value as it was my granddad's tt, so if anyone could assist in getting it running it would be great. I have a few other players that i am using for main listening so this one would just be for sentiment.

Having problems with photobucket.. I cannot for the life of me copy the links for the pics - any help? The Garrard TT is a 5-300 auto TT. The Sanyo seems to rather be a BSR Model 425. Can anyone help me with servicing and setup of either or both of these??

Its a Garrard 500 something.. sorry, not at home at the moment.. Its - what I assume - an entry level auto TT. I also have an old, similar Sanyo auto TT that needs work but I might want to swop the garrard with the Sanyo - nicer plynth.. Will try and post pics tomorrow
