DH1009 appears to a business projector with more lumens but lower contrast. 3200 vs 1700 lumens for HD83. 20000 vs 30000 contrast for HD83. Both HD 3D

My Optoma HD83 is due to be replaced following electrical surge damage. The insurance company has suggested the Optoma DH1009i DLP 1080p Full HD. The projector will be used in a cinema room. Is this a fair replacement or should I request something else? Thank you for the advice. Dhes

Greetings Hooked 2 sets of speakers in home theatre (stereo and 5.1) Wharfdale evo 10's fronts with SR7005 pre-outs to Classe stereo amp. Second 5.1 setup with evo bookshelves and paradigm ps1000. Advisable to watch movies with both sets powered up or just 5.1 from the 7005? Thanks guys

Problem solved! The driver cable was in contact with the tube from the port. Repositioned the padding so the cable no longer touching the tube. Sub is sounding awesome again Thanks again for the advice

Oh no. Please don't say that. Only bought 3806 cos Optoma projector does not have audio out. Explora is far from projector and hdmi already run. Not keen on running another cable. Maybe hdmi splitter with optic out if all else fails??

Hi Just got around to setting up a used 3806. Need some help please. Cant get dstv (explora) to work via hdmi but bluray coming through hdmi nicely. Any ideas Regards Dhes
