Morning. Did a continuity test and all looks good from the spade to the earth connection on the earth wiring just behind the stylus. So my guess would be that it is the earthing connection on the phono stage causing the hum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks again for the help. I did a quite check. Removed the power to the turntable complete. Just phone powered up. Hum is still there. When I remove turntable input no hum. When plugging in turntable input the hum is back. Not sure if this is of any help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I hear you guys, but with the current exchange rate, one is tempted into upgrading via a 2nd handset of speakers... The other challenge is that the HiFi community on the north coast seems to be very small in comparison to the ones within Gauteng and Cape Town.
