    Outdoor Braai Bluetooth Boombox

Update on the project, the cutting has been done, here are some pictures: The plastic is quite thick, about 8mm... this took a while with a hand drill: Test fitting the drivers and tweeters: Everything fit perfectly! I'm really happy with the look of it so far, exactly what...

    Outdoor Braai Bluetooth Boombox

After receiving the cheap 8" woofers and inspecting them, also played some music through them of course, they look like they will work very good as PRs. Here is a clip of them being tested on the TDA7492P amp (unfortunately can't seem to embed the video in the post)...

    Outdoor Braai Bluetooth Boombox

I experimented with smaller passive radiators a while ago and really enjoyed the extra low end they give in a smaller enclosure, so I'm going the same route - just bigger PRs this time  :D

    Outdoor Braai Bluetooth Boombox

Hi guys, Here is another bluetooth boombox build - for your entertainment. My goal for this boombox is to have decent power, decent sound quality, feature passive radiators and be sort of durable for outdoor purposes. I also aim to complete the build pretty quick. I already have an amp and...

    DIY 4 core speaker cable

I'm still trying to give it a propper listen, haven't had much time to do so since I installed the cables. It shouldn't make a difference as the cables are bridged on the amp side in any case - vs on the speakers side. The main goal for the cables was just for cosmetic reasons :)

Advice on DIY 8" 2-way bookshelves

Thanks for the advice Air. I am still looking at the available options. Do you think the scanspeak 8545 or 8535 will produce more bass than the 6.5" driver in my 685 S2? The room is really a big problem :/

Advice on DIY 8" 2-way bookshelves

Very interesting discussion going on here  Maybe I should start with getting a stronger amp first, before considering other speakers? I currently have a NAD D3020 driving the 685 s2... which means its delivering 15w rms @ 8ohm. Isn't this maybe a better option to start with upping the...

Advice on DIY 8" 2-way bookshelves

Thanks for the replies blizzard and Jozua! I agree with what you guys are saying, my idea is not to do a DIY because it will be cheap, but rather that it should actually sound awesome. The whole reason why I want to do DIY, is because I have not gotten exactly what I want from commercial...
