I recently sold my DV with a box of valves accompanying it. I purchased most of my valves from eBay, and then got some from @charles and @Andre Vermeulen. My favourite valves were the Silvertone 6SN7 and Brimar. For the power tubes, I like the Mullard 6080.

I did not take it out, but yes, it does look like an old laptop charger.

And that buck converter will charge the battery from the solar panel, irrespective if it is full and will continue to overcharge it. When I felt the buck converter it was piping hot to the touch. That's not acceptable. I am very concerned about this installation.

What do you think of this backup solar (one panel) and battery system for a complex's gate? I was shocked when I saw what the inside looks like. This was supposed to have been done by a "professional"
