ISS will be over JNB for 6 minutes tonight at 18h52, rising from the NW across to SE max.86 degrees. With decent binoculars and steady hands the solar panels are usually visible. Every time I see the transit speed it amazes me that something bigger than a rugby field can move so fast! Enjoy.

This sad old NAD lost it's LCD backlighting soon after a previous repair, so I was told. Not surprising when you see what was done. Fortunately only the bottom of the reflector lens behind the display had been deformed by the excessive heat.A pair of 18V midget flanged lamps did the trick...

Recently raised this from the dead, responded really well to re-alignment. Has a serious on-board SCA filter, methinks the McIntosh lads didn't take kindly to an intrusive 67kHz subcarrier interfering with their luxurious design!
