    Just an update on this , I decided to take it with me and followed the above advice thank you so much it arrived safely , really appreciated. 3 months at sea , 2 truck rides and 2 train trips and it made it safely :) fortunately I still had the screws to lock the deck so that helped too

    Thanks for the replies guys , I will look at volimo and moode I think , will these be able to then receive flacs? And not just MP3 ?  As for the chromecast if I hook it up via optical would I then be able to cast the masters ? ... My DAC only supports 44 over USB , it's the older bigger DAC...

    Ah i see ...hmmm the pi only has usb though, would hdmi from the pi to the tv and optical from the tv to the dac be a viable work around ? Or should i get the toslink adapter for the pi ? There is also a coaxial adapter Sent from my LG-H850 using Tapatalk
