Bring your gear over if you are shipping in any case.  Gear here is more expensive.  In terms of DSTV/ADSL.  Everything is separate here pretty much.  You'll get a shock when you see the prices for DSTV and ADSL.  Comparatively much more expensive here.  Lot's of other things are cheaper.  Good...

Welcome!  New too but here goes: Voltage should be ok.  Just change plugs.  Signal are the same as well (pretty sure).  We use PAL. But most likely is that you'll get DSTV (satelite based) and will not really use the TV tuner in any case. (see www.dstv.com)

Perpetual playlist with Spicefly SugarCube, MusicIP and Logitechmediaserver

SmartMix is more of a MusicIP replacement.  It seems to work well.  Certainly very easy to set up though compared to MusicIP. Yesterday they just added a sugarcube like feature which means once you reach the end of any playlist it will continue playing songs based on what you just played. ...

USB -> Digital out pass through (R Pi)

Hi Looking for a Linux (i.e. Raspberry Pi) compatable USB -> Digital out  sound card.  Don't need a DAC.  I'd like it to passtrhough DTS/AC3 signals to my home theatre.  My home theatre does not have HDMI so I need this extra bit.  Can be optical or coax. Anyone have any suggestions for...

Nothing serious at the moment.  An old home theatre setup.  Thinking about upgrading at some point.  Basic good quality home theater set-up that's also good for music.  Can't describe myself as an audiophile but I do feel a step up from what I have might be good.

    Logitech stop selling Squeezebox hardware

I think the community is going to put something together.  Probably based and using the same backend.  High audio quality, no screen, etc. See this: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?97881-Community-Funded-Squeezebox-Replacement-Would-you-be-interested

Digitial is digital.  As long as they don't fall apart you can't go too wrong.

    Squeezebox duet dilemma

Also consider mobile apps to control your squeezebox.  Depending on which phone you have you may have several options.  This replaces the controler functionality.
