What device will you use to drive the ultra wide monitor? The Lenovo laptop? Can you share specs/model number? As the previous poster mentioned, it might well not be able to drive one of those panels at native resolution.

A bit of a left field choice in SA, it seems, but I had a pair of Spendor SA1 monitors (standmounts) which I loved for many years, and then auditioned the A2 to replace them -- big, dynamic sound with great imaging. No cash to buy at the time.

I bought an Emotiva UMC-1 a couple of years back. I've been pretty happy with it. The shipping cost wasn't bad -- even with shipping and VAT the vaue for money was excellent.  Ask them for a quote including showing -- you may be surprised. --Kezia

Assume you are talking about audio only here? There is an unfortunate difference between the two devices -- the Airport Express will output 44.1Khz/16bit, but the Apple TV resamples everything to 48Khz I am told -- not ideal if you want bit-perfect lossless versions of your CDs output to your DAC.
