DIY Raspberry Pi Streamer..........with a twist!

One more thing to note. After splitting the power and powering the screen directly, it solved my low voltage warning but returned after a few days. Consulting the all-knowing internet I found that there is a poly fuse inline with the power inlet for the raspberry pi. I decided to reverse power...

    How loud do you listen?

Close Bud. It was 9 guys. Stupidly heavy stuff but I am still in awe of them every time I turn my system and play a track. I listen at mid-level. I like loud sometimes and other times I prefer just a lower level. My average is mid-level though. I also guess that's subjective. I say mid-level...

    Tannoy 15 inch amplifier recommendations

I 100% agree with you on the EQ thing. I EQ the hell out of my system with minidsp, but I have it seriously fine-tuned now. I bet you doing most of your EQ below 1k? And also cutting quite a bit around the 500-600hz mark to open up the vocals? I agree that EQ is not ideal, but I am currently...

    Tannoy 15 inch amplifier recommendations

This is a very interesting topic for me. I have 2x 15 inch tannoy monitor golds per side in a double autograph cabinet built by the late Chris Templar. I run them on DIY EL34 amps I built and I'm astonished everytime by how good it sounds and I have more than enough headroom. I have tried...

DIY Raspberry Pi Streamer..........with a twist!

I think I have solved my low voltage warning issue. I will have to do more tests to confirm but the initial results are promising. While everything was working fine that annoying low voltage lightning bolt on the screen was bugging me as I knew my PSU was capable of delivering the power needed...

DIY Raspberry Pi Streamer..........with a twist!

While there is nothing new and special about using raspberry pi's to stream music and all kinds of other handy things, I decided I was gonna build myself a streamer/roon edpoint using one of the many raspberry pi's I have at home. The goal was to build a streamer out of the parts I had lying...

Something I have used very successfully in the past to eliminate the joint lines is body putty used on cars for panel beating. Works like a charm. Also seals the MDF edges.

Hi All I have a friend moving from tidal to hi res apple music. Instead of him buying a new mac mini and a linear psu for it he already has this on an intel nuc.
