    Anyone know these speakers - Wharfedale 10.6 Floorstanders?

    I recently bought a pair of Diamond 10.1s (the bookshelf version) from Hi-fi Corruption. The guy who sold them to me let me 'audition' them by plugging them into a R400 Sinotech micro system... I could hear the amp clipping as he turned up the volume. I decided to get the speakers anyway...

    Hi, noob here My Wharfedale Diamonds (that I got for cheap from Hi-fi Corruption :D) have curved side panels. I thought they were designed like that for cosmetic reasons. If standing waves are such a problem, then why are most speakers (including the more expensive ones) slab-sided?
