Just tried the USB in from Macbook Air and no error received on Audiolab, but sound is very bad, crackling and popping etc.  Maybe this can help diagnose?

So if I may ask, why not just buy soda water? How much are you saving per 2lt? I have a soda syphon which makes no economic sense, but it's nice for when the soda runs out or when you want to make mix a drink with bubbles.  Toys, like most things around here.
