As much as I would like to compliment the agents, I am unfortunately unable to disclose my dealings with them due to legal reasons.

    tv unit on wheel

that's what we did with my AV stand a couple of months ago: we were looking at ways to reinforce it so that it could take the weight of the new amp, and we added 15 small castor wheels on the bottom shelf. Now fiddling with the AV units is a breeze: I simply pull the stand from the wall and...

according to this post on AVSforum: "You might want to ask NAD if they can send you the latest revision of the AM 230 module. The DSP, DACs, and volume controls are on the AM230 module. I know it has been revised at least once (if not a few times) since the T778 started shipping. The main...

We were also wondering, as I've only seen one forum post with the same issue, so it could be a bad batch of this particular board, and @emildev & I are just unlucky. At least with NAD's modular design, it means only the analog output board needs to be replaced, and even I can do this. The hard...

We just had my unit @emildev's test bench where we fed it a 50Hz, 0dB signal, and from the attached photos, you can clearly see the distortion in the signal after a while. We then tested his unit, and discovered the exact same issue, so this may be a common issue with the units of the 2020/2021...

Thanks, but I'm taking it to @emildev this afternoon, and once we have some hard data, then I will contact the agents.

Not stuck, but I am in the BluOS ecosystem with my other setup, and well, the sound quality is pretty great, especially with Dirac Live calibration. The NAD M17 is R175k, hard to justify that kind of money.

Yeah, fair point you make. Not sure I want a replacement though - there is no guarantee that a new unit won't have the same issues. At least I know this one's shortcomings. AVP is probably the way forward, but not sure I can justify the expense, since I'm already using this as an AVP.

Ok, connected the sub to the power amp to just the Front Right speaker, and at almost no volume on the T778, with the same test scene: - 59-61 dB just after powering on - 45-47 dB after +-7 minutes of operation Same behaviour on both sub preouts. I'm now noticing that the drop is not linear...

I never use Enhanced Bass, it just sounds too 'boomy' for my liking. Speakers are all set to Small with crossover at 80Hz for 90% of the time, otherwise a 2.0 Large for pure stereo. Thanks, I've been driving Land Rovers since 2008, the suffering is part of the journey :ROFLMAO:

^ I'm a bit scared of doing this... Will try it tomorrow and see. Meanwhile, this is not a very accurate measurement, since I don't have a sensitive multimeter nor the equipment to do so, but using a Sound Meter app on my phone at my usual listening position, and the same explosion on a loop...

All other preouts work at their respective levels without dipping. I just put the heatsink back in, no change.

yep, Factory Reset is first thing I always do. I have no speakers connected except for the sub. I only started noticing this when I removed the heatsink containing the amp modules. Maybe I must put the heatsink back in without the amp modules, although I cannot see how that would make a...

Yep, all media - Sicario is Atmos, I tried DTS/DSD/WAV music, same story One can easily hear the difference, unfortunately the frequencies are too low for my phone to record them.

DRC is set to 100% on the T778, and OFF on the Oppo. Yep, same on both sub outputs. I even used both outputs on the T778 into the SVS transmitter, and one input on the Sub, no change. I also tried both outputs on the T778 into the SVS transmitter, and both inputs on the Sub, also no change.

I've removed the SVS Wireless transmitter and connected the sub directly to the T778, and switched off my power amp so that the only speaker being driven is the sub. I have my Oppo 203 looping one massive explosion from Sicario, and after about 7 min, the sub level drops dramatically. Once I...

@Rsim Thanks, will only get to it in a couple of weeks once I'm back from holidays. But I'm just looking at the amp modules again now, specifically the latest replacement (June 2024), and not impressed by the work:
