I bought the 5.1 JBL SOUNDBAR six months ago and I love it. I use it to watch TV every night.
Suddenly it has started crackling. These “crackles” are very load, sharp. They occur at what sounds like max volume, independent of the volume setting.
The only thing that seems to stop the crackle is hitting on top of the amp sharply with my hand.
I took it in to a repair shop. After a week he phoned to say it does not crackle at all. He let it play every day and not once did it crackle for him. Once getting it back home it cracked on the second night and randomly since. It may crackle every night and then not crackle for several days and so on.
I love this speaker and hope someone can help me rescue it.
