My first audio recollections were of my dad in the farmhouse solder (attic) working on old radios, late 1960s. The reason why I remember is because I was a nuisance wanting to help him. He eventually let me stick my hands inside a radio and I got a good shock from something, it was non lethal :) I manage to collect a few more shocks over the years....

My first radio was an old radiogram by Telefunken with a magic eye. It went downhill from there.
The workshop where I mess around with old stuff, some pictures of some of that.

There are a few pieces of Valve gear in this picture, Heathkit capacitor checker and rejuvenator with magic eye, Dynaco integrated Amp SCA 35, an unmolested copy. RCA Voltohmist Senior bottom left. A Simpson Electric tube tester Model I-177, the grey box top right and a Hickok 6000 tube tester in maroon above that.
Next is my HV valve power supply by Heathkit. And the RCA.
