I want to go from 235/55/17 to 235/60/17.

I will not mind the slight performance drop there will be, I am more concerned about how will this affect braking performance, handling, comfort, insurance, legality, gearbox wear etc. Will I need to chance brake pads more regularly or will they last the same?
The reason I want 60 profile vs 55 is potholes. I also drive on gravel roads and had punctures, 3 of them now with the same set of tyres.
Also going to 60 profile you can get AT3 tyres. My main reason for wanting to go to 60 profile.
