Another disssappointment. On the box and promo material everywhere the med500x2 touts an internet browser. But they selected a couple of icons of some sites. You cannot enter a url, ip address or access an intranet. Now thats called an internet browser - wow. :sh1tstirrer: :walled:

The Med500x2 does not have a dongle - Its wifi is built in.

I did - they waffle which means their product is broken.

I hear you, except I've been thru it with mede8erand  "my broad band" - so I thought i'll share my frustration and spare some people the agony. I do have plenty of experience (30 years myself) and this one is a product flaw, no doubt. - Wifi Auto works, but Manual Settings not. So i buy...

After 30 years in the Business, you would expect that I have and I have indeed - hence my warning, and again who has a mede8er med500x2 with manual wifi settings that works - i have not encountered one yet in my "travels" as you suggest. Dont think Im a moron simply because your title keep...

If you've been thru the hell I've been with the mede8er2X wifi - manual setup, you would also want to warn the world - as i said none probably has used the manual setup as it does not work. I am yet to see someone that has said that their manual setup for wifi woks perfectly.

Fits time I post in this area, the other area was Photography - they're much much friendlier there.

I'm sharing my experience, not introducing myself. You are quite rude. My Firmware is 2.0.7 and Wifi works only on auto config and definitely not on manual settings or at any little bit of a distance or with a repeater, unlike my Philips Blu-Ray 3D Player which worked first time. The mede8er...
