That's also how i research, but when i compared all the headphones in a shop he400s, he400i, hd600, hd650 etc that was the only way i could make up my mind. Mind you the he400s's were a very close second, still want to hear how they sound with focus pad

Absolutely, i liked the guy. I even did some purchases based on his recommended gear eg. SRH840 and Sony MDR-1A's Can't find the video now, but what changed my mind about him was someone uploaded a video compiling how many times he stated "this is the best..."
