That Celestion mid is ridiculously expensive online...Can't find any locally.
I think I'll scrap this project. The veneer alone is approx R1300 (entire box), still need to apply, then seal etc.
Hello good people.
Been a while since I posted on here.
I have a set of B&O BeoVox 5700 - I'm undecided on whether to restore this set and use them OR sell it of.
On this set; I'm missing one mid-range (Celestion MD-500); I've had the woofers and tweeters repaired in 2013 and haven't used them...
RS also doesn't have it :(
I'd prefer a drop in substitute as I'm not a technician ... more like a part replacer LOL
@ gapco - here's a pic I took last night. Hope it's detailed enough... mind my grubby hands
Hi guys

Nope Opel Astra ... It's a cooling control unit. for the radiator/aircon fans
Very difficult to find this unit in the scrap yard... Agents are definitely a NO. The online price is +- 200 pounds... didn't even bother calling GM SA.
I'm sure it's one of the relays, I just need someone to try and...
Hi peeps
Just wanted to know... is there anyone that does vehicle control module repairs ?
Most Hifi technicians or electricians do not want to even attempt a repair.
I have a vehicle control module, that is not working correctly; I basically need someone to test the relays/caps etc on the...
Make sure that if/when you try to pull that dent, it does not create more little smaller creases.
If it does then when you play it you may hear crackling because of the little creases in the metal.
Thanks for the replies peeps.
@Neil - all old speakers used as main speakers
@Jiven - nope Andile has been around them :giggle:
@Andile - thanks Technics set is working fine
Ok update ...
The Akai's - I've had for years... Tweeters went a long long time ago, so the repair/replace is...
