SME 3009 Series II Tonearm Refurbishment

I had the Bearings Inspected and Cleaned by a friend who rebuilds Gyros for Aircraft instruments in a Class 1 clean room. He had the bearings cleaned in a Ultrasonic bath with Acetone to get rid of any dirt. Then inspected them under a Microscope for any wear or Brinelling. After that he soaks...

Will have a look at what size Brass Rod I have lying around and get it turned up. Busy turning Teflon bushes to make...

He says it was a small garage, that may be but it was one of the most well set out and organised wood shops I've seen. Also had a listen to his giant HE speakers with a sub woofer built into...

    Group Gear Build

Id like to see what this one will look like. I built the Bugle 2 with a 12 v power supply in an old HDD case. One thing I found is it uses a hell of a lot of resistors. But the sound is worth it. And its better  to have the main traces on the bottom layer and the other traces on top. There is...

Need help calculating output transformer values

Hi Karel I looked at the thickness of the wire and yes it is extremely thin. Looks braided as well. I will measure the DC Resistance of the primary tonight.
