That's part of what makes me so tempted to get one! I want to hear for myself just how they were able to cram so much into so little. The measurements taken by Amir at AudioScienceReview do look really nice, but I suppose it all comes down to sound at the end of the day.

Thanks for the insight Chris! Yeah, that doesn't exactly sound like a pleasant experience. I see that the Dayton Audio DAC you listed only has RCA out, I'm assuming it's meant to be linked up to a separate amplifier for use with headphones? That's a bit of a deal breaker for me unfortunately...
