Did a factory reset and still not working. Test tone function also not working, it doesn't even allow me to adjust test tone volume or change to a different speaker.
This Amp is toast :Ooooooh:
Hi
Just wanted to listen to some music after we didn't' have power since last night. Unfortunately there is no sound coming out of my SR5012 anymore. I restarted the amp by holding the power button and tried my headphones but no sound there either.
Any ideas or must I accept this thing is blown?
That's how I'm running it. The SR5012 is set on bi-wiring. I run the front outputs to LF and the rear outputs to HF through solid core bi-wiring speaker cables.
If I were to get a 5 channel power amp I could bi amp the fronts, therefore using it as a 3 channel power amp. I think that's probably the best option, right?
So my setup as follows:
Front: B&W 683 S2
Center: B&W HTM62 S2
Sub: Canton AS50
AV: Marantz SR5012
For stereo audio listening I can tell that the 683's are very power hungry and I had initially looked at adding a Marantz MM7025. But then I wasn't sure if that would be worth it compared to the...
It?s in the manual setup section. So one has to start the manual setup process and I chose HDMI control which clearly triggered a reset because it showed that it was ON.
Hi,
So my Apple TV is connected to my SR5012 which in turn is connected to my LG TV.
When I choose "sleep all connected devices" on the Apple TV, only the TV goes to sleep but not the Marantz.
I checked the settings for "HDMI Control" as stipulated in the online help section but I don't...
Ok, I understand better now, but I?m still not sure if I should go for it or wait for a good stereo power amp deal.
After all I?ll always be able to use the 5 channel power amp for the remaining 5 channels to make a 7.1 system.
I have to add a correction, the correct term would be bi-amping.
Using 2 channels from the MM7055 bi-amping the speakers, will it be as efficient as running it single wired on a more powerful stereo amp?
