Will I be able to use something like this instead of my existing receiver, for both the speakers and shaker?

Yup, they don't have stock.  Also googled a bit and apparently they don't make that model anymore.  The newer models are a bit more expensive, so I might as well go for the shakers with a seperate amp if I can find a cheap one.

Not getting any feedback from the people who has the Buttkicker and can't find any other local suplliers.  Looks like I'll have to go for the shakers then.  What do I need to look for in an amp?  If I go to a place like Hifi Corporation, what do I ask for?

Thanks, I'll check tonight what outputs I have on the receiver.  Something like that will work perfectly, I can hide it behind the rest of the stuff, so nobody will even see it.  What's the price of a car amp more or less?

Upgrade the whole system?  The bass shaker will only be used for gaming (mounting to a PlaySeat for racing games), not for watching movies or anything else.  I'm quite happy with the sound I'm getting from the system for movies.

I get it that I don't have a top of the range system... not even a mid-range system, but I'm happy with what I have.  I'm sure everything will sound MUCH better with what you're suggesting, but I'm not interested in buying a new system, not that I have the money for it anyway.  I'm just trying...

Ok, so I've decided to get another AV Receiver, since I can't use the shaker with my existing one.  What should I get?  It won't be used for anything else, so nothing too expensive.  Suggestions?  If you have something secondhand that you want to sell that will do the job, please let me know.  :)
