Hi, thanks ;-)
I'm not too sure yet. I guess I'm just looking for ideas. To see what others have done with their projector mounts. Does everyone just hang it from the roof on a mount? Or do some "in ceiling" projector lifts.
I found a great DIY (non motorised) idea here...
Hi again, sorry to saturate the forums, but I'm a total noob here so I hope I get a bit of leeway :-)
Does anyone here have a custom projector lift installed? If so, what did it cost to have done and could you post a pic or 2?
Thanks in advance.
Howzit.
I'd be looking for a decent size house. I've decided to go with the 234cm x 132cm - 16:9. - I'm getting it for a real bargain so its not a huge loss if I need to sell on and go bigger later.
*sigh* cant wait to get a place and install everything.
Nice, I see their website pictures are opening properly now. My folks live in Alberton so I think I'll pop by their shop and have a little look. Seems like they can do just about whatever you need.
Agreed. Can never be too big.
My ceiling at the moment is 240 cm. - 140 cm for screen height = 100 cm - 60cm for tv stand. - 20 cm for center speaker. Leaves 20cm excluding the screen tube. - So its a perfect fit for where I am now.
but the problem I have is the fact that I COULD go bigger...
.... because, from what I can tell is that they are just soo much cheaper here. :-)
I think I'll take the 106 inch - conservative aproach for now and then if I end up in a massive lounge, I'll sell it and go bigger :-)
Then again... using that logic. I might just as well go bigger and then sell...
Hi guys.
Currently in the UK and soon to be back in sunny SA. YAAAAAY!!!!
The Sky HD boxes here don't do 5.1 etc through HDMI so an optical is needed too. Sounds daft, I know. But true.
Is it the same with the PVR boxes in SA or would I need an optical cable with it too?
Thanks.
Thanks. Mines 2.4 in the UK at the moment. So I think working on a worst case scenario I should get a screen viewable area of 234cm x 132. - 16:9
I would love to go 1 size bigger but I worry that the house I end up in, in SA will be too small for the larger 1. ??? but its just sooooo tempting!!!
Howzit.
I'm trying to decide what size screen I need for my projector and living in the UK for the last 6 years I've forgotten the hight of ceilings in SA. Is it 3m?
Thanks.
Thanks Hi-Phibian. Will give him a call when I'm ready to install.
I wish the hfxsystems website worked properly. The pictures don't seem to open in both i.e and firefox. I've emailed them to let them know.
