What sort of metric are you using to determine the relative speed of these amps?

I use a cheapy cable that I got from Hi-Fi Corp.  Right from the beginning the picture displayed red sparkles.  After a while, I found that this was due to the way the cable was bent against the wall - a clean image after making a small adjustment.

If someone talks to me about transparent sound, the first thing that comes to mind is a soundstage in which I am unable to locate the source of the sound - simple as that.  The speakers become invisible, i.e. transparent.
