Guys, just a quick update.  UPS delivered today  - 5 days before scheduled delivery (weekend included).  No problems experienced at all. Just a shame about the item floating loose in an oversized box.  No damage luckily.  I would gladly pay a bit more for a few polystyrene noodles...

According to Amazon feedback (after an  e-mail) UPS is their most trusted courier service. I was promised my item on or before the scheduled time of Wednesday 16 January. Hoping for the best.

Got through to Customs at last today...  The lady told me there is a 2-week backlog.  I suspect it to be more like 2-month backlog but what do I know...  I may not come to collect my parcel myself as it is "against the law"...  I really do not have the patience or time to spend  hours at customs...
