I just looked at specs and input voltage is 36V ...that's why it has been released.   

Basically everything that comes into the country the has a 220v input would need an LOA before it will be released ( this is the LAW on imported items in volume ) not sure how it works on Individual items but if you do have to get an LOA then it will cost you way more than the item is worth...

Personally i think it will always remain DIY as long as you are enjoying what you are doing and achieving the results or even bettering what you set out to do.  The moment you no longer have a smile on your face or just see it as something that needs to be done then its either a chore or a JOB.
