Using a Raspberry Pi as a media centre/streamer

You can always let the end point device do the decoding with Plex. So use the Pi then as storage device. This might work. I have seen people with crazy old hardware run plex, and then config Plex so decoding/encoding is at end point, like the shield.

Proudly South African - My transition to Bentley Acoustics Story

Same here went for Jamo s803 at Vaughan and walked out with FR100 for my desktop setup, and now all rooms need to have Bentley. The FS150 as my main stereo speakers are so nice, people always ask how many subs you have.

Rasberry Pi4 Sample Rate (MQA question)

@seanjammy i do not think it can render it, but do believe and i might be wrong if your DAC is full MQA it can play it in MQA format. But might be wrong here.

Rasberry Pi4 Sample Rate (MQA question)

@irengineer 100%, i think it was purely the music i was playing, and volumino software not showing the correct data in the play now info section.

Rasberry Pi4 Sample Rate (MQA question)

Music_Lover i am not sure what khz is but got light to White which means over 48khz. The playlist Nikkel shared took it into white. Looks like most modern songs that i listen to is 44.1/48khz even thought it MQA and Zen One gives blue light for MQA studio.

Rasberry Pi4 Sample Rate (MQA question)

Nikkel with a few i tested there, the Khz light does go White which means it over 48Khz. Volumio not showing it that why, but DAC does. Like you said then all about the music then, and in what MQA it was done. The format according to light is all MQA Studio. So guess it is working as intended...

Rasberry Pi4 Sample Rate (MQA question)

Hi on your PC Nikkel have you seen higher than 48Khz on a master track in Tidal. Just trying to figure out if there is a Pi setting, or volumio that i might miss, or i am just thinking up a problem. Tidal does change between HiFi and Master depending on the song.

Rasberry Pi4 Sample Rate (MQA question)

Hi All I have a question, might be a stupid one. With regards to a Rasberry Pi 4 with Volumio + iFi Zen One Signature. The light on the iFi sign shows correct color for MQA, but the Hz one stays at 48hz light. Volumio also showing 24 Bit 48Hz. Is that the the MQA sample and bitrate? How...
