High end exposure insight into your own system

Let me rock the boat here. Whether I listen to music on a laptop, or my midrange hifi system, I get the same enjoyment. This is because I listen TO the music, not AT the system Fire away now.....

Is your audio system ready for losless Music?

I unashamedly proclaim that I cannot hear any difference between a lossless WAV file, and a 320k MP3. Now I wonder.....Is that a good or a bad thing ? Oh well, I certainly don't get sleepless nights over it  :D

Sometimes less can be more in AV, some lessons I took from my latest system

Over the years I have dabbled in various gear setups, and finally came to my senses. If only more folk focused on actually listening to and enjoying the music, instead of listening  AT the speakers and other related gear, then more sanity will prevail, and we could actually get back to what...

Hi all My name is Kevin. "Pants" is a lifelong friend of mine, and I can certainly vouch for his integrity. He has bought and sold hifi gear for many a year on various platforms. Due to his health issues, he is unfortunately not often online. His name is Kelvin. You are welcome to contact me...

    Rugby World Cup 2019

What a world cup !  What a win ! Well done to Japan for hosting a fantastic event. Pity it was tarnished by a fair number of England players who refused to wear their medals with pride. I thought that was a slap in the face to the great game of rugby.

    Audiophile terms and their understanding

Not the answer you're looking for, but my take is that the majority of "audiophiles" who use these fancy terms to describe music production, don't have a clue what they mean, and how to describe them. eg.  PRAT -- Pace, Rhythm and Timing  --  What the hell does that mean, and how does one...

Are live music performances only as good as the audio equipment used?

Watching and listening to a live performance is not the same experience as listening to a CD recording. Especially if the CD recording is in stereo only. A live concert is an audio / visual experience, which together with ambient sound etc and crowd participation and interaction, both of which...

DSTV cut me off - again

I am a DSTV "Premium" subscriber. But not on a permanent basis. I am NOT locked into a debit order, and therefore if I see no value in the next 30 days viewing, I simply don't pay, and I am cut off accordingly. When it's again worth it to re-connect, I simply pay my monthly subscription, with no...
