Valve DIY build inspired by Mr Kent Kassler

Interesting how things move around. I am now the proud owner of this little gem and it so happens to be paired with the NAD 312 (ugly duckling, as he called it) I bought from sweetsound a good few years ago :D My first adventure into valve amps and I am really enjoying it (along with the...

    Suitable KVM

By the sounds of things what you actually want is a port replicator (docking station). Depending on notebook make and model you may be able to buy it as an accessory otherwise you can look at generic options like Targus. http://targus.com/us/docking-stations

Raspberry Pi(any) + OSMC (Kodi, Debian)

IMO there is a huge difference in performance between Pi and Pi2. I tried RaspBMC in the early days when the Pi first arrived on the scene and moved on to HPMS + nvidia card. I'd say Pi2 vs. HPMS + nvidia is pretty comparable and the boot time is amazing. My projector is still warming up by...

Raspberry Pi(any) + OSMC (Kodi, Debian)

IIRC OSMC was originally RaspBMC so there is a good track record of development from when the Pi first came out. There is however something to be said for the spec bump in the the Pi 2. I'm currently running OpenELEC on a Pi 2 and was very happy to replace the HPMS that was doing OpenELEC...

Uniterm Direct now selling Maverick Audio

Just arrived and unpacked. :D Driving headphones at the moment. I'm not a big fan of the step volume knob and my OCD can't get over the fact that the input selectors don't line up :P Sound: Too early to compare to my little Fiio E10, but certainly sounding fuller.

    Blue Mo-Fi

I quite like some of the subtleties like the on off switch and the hinge for adjusting the ear cups looks really nice. http://techcrunch.com/2014/08/26/blue-reveals-its-fresh-take-on-over-the-ear-heaphones/
