    Sigh.... More Audio Misinformation..

Not as important, but still important. Also in my above example I'm talking independent from gain structure and headroom that is needed to allow clean manipulation of the audio. In this case i am talking about audio captured at optimal gain and with sufficient headroom, being played back with...

    Sigh.... More Audio Misinformation..

For the flac/MP3 comparison, that is exactly the type of music where you will not hear much difference at all, because that is all digitally synthesized music. Then, the bit where they say sample rate doesn't matter... and also that bit depth doesn't matter...     As part of my Studio Sound...

Pioneer A-115, help get it working?

(SIGH) I decided to take this out today and try the above mentioned fix, which has brought the amp back to life. Kind of. The protection relay did not activate... the ac out of the transformer is 26.7v-0v-26.7v. by my knowledge, this should yield DC rail voltages of approx 33v-0v-(-33v) Some...

Not happy with Rust-Oleums aerosol paint

I too have had some excellent results with Rustoleum, for example restoring my headlights with the clear coat, painting some sealed and primed MDF Speakers. I've also had bad results with sprayon, (Because it was cheaper) which i used to do the DSTV dish after a full sand and spray primer, then...

    Load shedding updates

CAD, We've been using a heat pump for just over a year, has cut the average electricity usage over a year in half (as measured 24/7 with an effergy engage power monitor) and it works great, we run from 5AM till 10AM, and again from 6PM till 11PM each day. the only extras are a geyser blanket...

Pioneer StudiBoy Project s101 Restoration (1982)

UPDATE: Drivers are back!!!  :rubhands: I am actually very impressed with the overall sound that the system develops. It is full and powerful, and the bass extends right down without running out of power at all. Also, because the amp is set up as dual mono, the stereo separation and sound...
