Hi Kisho I have a Harman Kardon SB26. I would not recommend it as you can't hear the voices properly which makes it difficult to watch anything. my advice is listen to the soundbar before you buy it.

My experience with the phonobox is that you need to ground the phonobox as well otherwise it will cause a hum.  so you will have two ground cables connecting to the phonobox. Hope this helps.

Hi Ingvar It is humming quite dramatically. I first thought it was the phono stage not grounded properly but after unplugging the preamp and phono stage i switched on the power amp and it was still humming. I then opened the amp and did see that the capacitor had a bulging top.

So after a bit of fiddling around it looks like it is the power amplifier. I might be wrong but it looks like it is in need of new capacitors.  Who will be able to assist in replacing the capacitors. It needs 4 63v 10 000uf capacitors

I used the lowest volume on the phone. i also changed the sensitivity on the power amp. i also plugged in the phone directly into the power amp. it is a little better now but still distorting on the lower frequencies.

I took a change and plugged my phone into the preamp and it is still distorting.

Mr Lintoff will be able to assist with the specifications hopefully.  i haven't used another source as i don't have a dac currently.

The phono stage doesn't have any gain settings. I did see that the gain is 40db if you look at the Pro-ject Phono Box E's specifications.  I am using a Audio Technica Stylus

Hi All I have an issue with distortion of my midrange and lower frequencies in my speakers when playing my vinyl. To give a little bit of background: I use a Technics SL-DD20 turntable with a Pro-ject Phone Box, a Lint audio valve pre and a linn 5105 power amp.  Speakers are warefedale...
