Haha! we're getting way off topic, but yes, mine is also a HTPC XBMC-based solution. So I've got another quote for 80kg/m^3, Rockwool slab @ R 114.00/ slab. Slab size is 1000x600mmx50mm thick. Works out to R47/kg if my maths is right. Any feeling on Rockwool vs U-Thermo-8?

If I may ask, where did you get these quotes? The numbers I'm seeing in Cape Town are closer to double this. U-Thermo-6 boards (packs of 10) are going for about R1400 here, direct from Saint-Gobain. That works out to about R64/kg. No stock of the felt rolls right now -- are these cheaper?
