HT amps typically don’t have the best DAC’s built in. Different use case to stereo and spec’d accordingly. Some really good gains to be had with a dedicated DAC. Rule of thumb and certainly not always the case but dedicated stereo kit will outperform surround sound kit with stereo music.

Long distances like that are seldom a good idea for RCA. If you really need a run that long you would be better off with xlr assuming your phono has the capability. :2c:
