according to the Manual no it does not its  socket FCLGA1155 based.... perhaps a 2nd hand MicroServer might be cheaper than a rare XEON CPU  :'( .. .but i am not looking to spend too much .. was just looking or cost effective upgrades...

Miraculously.... Speakers actually still work perfectly .. but  obviously sound is not optimal .. tried to take the driver out .. but could not dislodge by hand after removing all the screws .. so will try a blade this evening .. . but i wonder if the driver has been glued in place too ...
