4700uf 100v caps should be fine.  In an AC amp it is preferable to replace slightly higher either in uF or V as it gives the amp more head room. I was looking to replace some 10000uF caps a while back and ended up ordering Elna Caps, very pleased with the result as I ended up going for 10000uF...

Thanks for the suggestion Atjan.  Honestly I have always been led to believe that it is only necessary to "clad" sealed cabinets.  As you said if it doesn't sound good, I can just pull it out.  I will give it a go and report back. I have a bit of time on my hands at the mo, so back to sanding...
