Thanks. The amp is with the dealer in the Vaal he has said that its uneconomical to repair. I'll need to chat to him tomorrow and find out  what the actual cost would be. I'll also have a look at the Avsa lead. How does the plinius sound compare to MF?

Telkom asdl has been working for 3 days. It is a pleasure to have consistent speed. Torrents download at good speeds too. :thumbs: Keeping my fingers crossed that it works for some time still.. Before I have to talk to those call centre people again.

Try custom cables. http://www.custom-cable.co.uk/arcam-drdock-ipod-ipad-digital-dock.html. They have an Arcam dock with digital out that would then allow you to connect to a DAC of your choice. It looks like a reasonable price. Not sure how import duties and currency will impact though..

That's the interesting thing about all this. It's so inconsistent. My next neighbor has perfect vodacom data reception and was not happy with telkom. I have applied for my adsl now let's wait and see. Thanks guys.

I have applied for an adsl line but from what i understand that process is "inconsistent". What kind of adsl speeds are you getting in  the area?
