At church we use EV 1810s as our main speakers. Have done the same at home. Paired a svs sb12 sub per RX6 floor stander. What a difference now having two subs. And I was happy with one sub. What would the reason be for this? Just fills the whole room with two subs.

I use quite a bit of sub in my mix. But enjoy it like that. But open to try other options. The beauty of having forums like this.

I stay in Queensburgh but with Durban freeways travel is quick. Would love to connect with other guys now and then.Quite a learning curve when you are new at this.

How much difference is there between 80 and 120 hz. Certainly lowers the pressure on amp and speakers.

I did see those iq 90. Wanted to listen to C7 and Q500 when I am in Pretoria next week and then make a decision. You don't think R10 000 is a bit high for iq90 that is 7 years old?

Thanks for all the input guys. Has been of enormous help. Realised I need to stick with what I really want. 2.1 system with the best Kef speakers I can afford. So easy to settle for a bargain 5.1 but of lesser quality. If you do hear of an iq90 or Q500 and a matching sub, at a reasonable price...
