Would the NAD not give a significant improvement over the Denon then?

stereo imaging etc. is not as great as a dedicated stereo amp or have i been lead to believe otherwise/incorrectly?!

Would the above pair well with the B&W DM603 S3’s in a stereo setup? The Denon 4500 is a great amp but doesn’t really perform well in stereo. Any advice/feedback would be greatly appreciated.
