    AVR repairs around JHB

Hi Folks My speakers are not outputting sound on my Onkyo NR 727. When left on for a long time, the centre and surrounds eventually kick in, but nothing from front L&R. Anybody you can refer me to? I cant get hold of Roland. Thanks

    Denon AVR-X2700H UI response

I have the Onkyo NR727 and I experience the same. My honest take is that manufacturers try to load plenty features at a price in reach of the general population. This means cheaper components used across the board. I have found the UI processing to be a bit silly. My cousin has same unit as...

Steve Lukather says (I had to share)

Steve Lukather has some comments on the state of the recording business today.  Steve was a founding member of Toto, has released solo LP's and is one of the most successful studio guitarists in history. He has been involved in thousands of records (if a Michael Jackson song has a guitar on it...

How many of you are buying an inverter system or a generator?

Is that for same reason naturally aspirated motors produce less power? Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

THAT shop in Raheema Moosa Street

I've been to the shop. Some gems amidst the squalor. The okes running the shop are genuine guys just applying their trade. Its a busy part of the CBD, but parking right outside is possible Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

    Who delivers for you

Hi all, I'm doing my first sale of kit. My active sub has a buyer in Secunda. I'm in Roodepoort. Who delivers for you guys? Stormy Norman recommended Star Express. Any others you know of? Reliability is key for me Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

Do I risk it or do I risk it?

I know the place quite well. Most of the units are broken and dodge, but they have one or two bargains. The guys themselves are quite legit, just cant afford fancy premises. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

    Decline of musical literacy

I found this article. While I'm only starting to learn to read music and play piano at age 35, I'd like to believe I instinctively recognise large chunks of modern music as trash. This instinct has now been fleshed out by someone more literate than me. Out of interest, do you folk play...

Is your musical taste frozen in time?

The artist that defines my taste will be Jamiroquai. Without a shadow of doubt.

Is your musical taste frozen in time?

I came across the article and found it interesting. I, too, am guilty, but consciously trying to keep it fresh. https://mixmag.net/read/research-suggests-that-people-stop-discovering-new-music-at-age-30-news
