Hi Guys

I have a pair of Vintage Celestion Ditton 662 floorstanding monitors. They are in near mint condition which is amazing for their age of around 33 years old. Have the original documentation of their purchase in 1981. They were in storage for a very long time. The drivers , surrounds and tweeters are in fantastic condition.

They sound absolutely fantastic with very smooth tops and an incredible midrange. Huge tight bass from the 12 inches. These speakers were used by the BBC as reference monitors when thy came out.

I also have 5 sets of spare Celestion HF 1300 Mkii tweeters of which 4 is still sealed in the boxes. Also the even scarcer Celestion MD500 midrange driver.

They were meticulously looked after by the original owner until he passed away a couple of years back. They were then kept in storage by his family up to the time I bought them.

You will not find a pair in this condition again. I have the original packaging.

Selling the speakers with the spare driver and tweeters for R7500.
Shipping at your cost. Around 90kg for the pair boxed.

Thank you sire. They are really something special. Let's see how it works out. If they don't go to a new house in the next couple of days I may consider selling a pair. Will keep you posted. :teach:

Wow, these must sound amazing!
Probably must need quite a room for them though.
Whoever gets this is getting a very fair deal, spare tweeters/mid really seal the deal.

Thanks very much guys

They remind me very much of the B&W Matrix 801's I had. Maybe a little bit more laid back. My room is 5m x 7m x 3m, but not treated at the moment. ( it is a bit live) and they sound fantastic up to moderately loud levels before the room starts kicking back...

I had some B&W P6's a little while back and they also had this warm laid back sound that sounds so much different from today's super detailed (bright ) speakers.

Absolutely no fatigue..

When a seller describes his merchandise as a collectors item, it is usually an exaggeration. In this case it really is a collectors item. Very nice!
