Good day peeps...I got this machine Fostex E2 with some studio equipment I purchased, owner said it works but hadn't used it in ages. I powered it up once after sitting for a couple of weeks after picking it up so it powers up, lights up etc....
Having had NO experience with these machines is there anyone I can take it to, or someone could check it out cause its damn heavy to carry around.? Someone who can bring it back to its glory days?
Randburg location...

I don’t know Fostex, but I’d love to take a look at that machine, see if it is working properly, head condition etc etc..
Edenvale location..

For what it's worth. I had one of those machines, cared for by Ghost and when I decide to clear out some of my decks I got rid of my Studer A80 before the Fostex.....

Ghost do you possibly have a 10’5” 1/4 track 7,5ips machine you would consider selling, selby69 down in the cape is looking for one, needs to play back some tapes from way back when.. I have his Revox B77 with me, but it is pretty badly damaged and needs a complete rebuild and realignment / adjustment... Chassis side panels are bent and cracked as well...
Many thanks..
