Title: Turntable Guy Roll

This thread is a little something for all the stuff that comes through the doors (and leaves again). Some service items. Some are ones that I fix'en'sell.

Something similar. This one actually plays records. 7" singles only. You hear sound is the best I can say about it... It was a repair like a lot of repairs I get in - for nostalgia versus practical usage. The Lady just wanted to show her children what she played with as a kid their age...

I've always been fascinated by analog meters on tape players. Spent lot of time listening to Willie Nelson & Cliff Richard on my father's deck.

That Marantz sure is pretty. Love the fact that someone got the little player fixed up to let the little one learn about music! My mother still has a copy of the Wombling song with my crayon scrawling attempts to colour in the picture on the back.  Sadly, the B-Side was better (Remember You're a Womble).  My brother got 'Kung-fu Fighting' at the same time (soon grabbed that one!)

I think one would be better off with a mono BSR than Crosley or Ion.  :giggle:

That 1010 is nice. Maybe not as nice as the bruisers that proceeded it but great none the less. Even though this was one of their 'budget' offerings they still put lots of effort into the 'feel' of the unit. It must have one of the best tuner dials I have used. Heavy but quick to get from side to side yet sensitive enough to fine tune using the meter...

Hehe, it will be a whole lot better than the AT3400 that is on there as a 'place holder'...

Here is a short video of the table in action (ignore the snap, crackle, pop - that is my cereal off screen  :ROFLMAO: and ignore the camera work  :goofy: )

That AA-910 really works great! The internals are a little weird. It's like they shopped through the Japanese HiFi parts bin. Some of the boards are JVC (Matsushita) and some are Pioneer. The transformer is their doing (and the styling of coarse)..

Back in 1780 when Bulgaria was a lad
They were minuetting in the morning
And in the evening they were minuetting mad

si womble to your partners
Young wombles were told
If you minuetto allegreto
You will live to be old
