I have an old 50 inch Samsung plasma TV that is on its last legs. I have space now to go a bit bigger, thinking perhaps 65 inch. So much out there and as tech moves on, it is always daunting spending hard earned cash on big ticket items like this. So now the questions start: 4K or 8K? Definitely UHD I'd say, that is 4k, right? I loved my plasma but see they don't make those anymore so LED it is, I guess? Or QLED? Or better?
Then I see some TV's are marketed specifically as Android TV's and other as just Smart TV - aren't all smart TV's running Android? I see some Sony devices come with Google TV - isn't that just another flavour of Android?
I'm looking at R10-15k budget and am bit of a brand snob - sorry, just don't like no-name brand stuff that has no history or follow-up service.
Is that price range too low for a 65 inch, reputable brand, UHD TV?
I have Xbox, PlayStation, Amazon fire TV stick all hooked up via Yamaha AVR and a 2.1 sound setup, so built-in speakers not a big deal for me as they will probably not be used.

I know it is a very open ended and somewhat subjective question, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
