Had a quick, decent listen to his earlier stuff, agree it's good, but to my ear, Nils' later /current music is far better. Less of a young man trying to make a living playing what he thinks people want to hear, and now a more mature man playing what he enjoys and knows is excellent..

Yes this is an old trick and works      one of the methods to "dope" a (paper) cone
If you go this route buy some fabric dye and mix it in to get to your preferred colour before hand
mask off the surround

Im a bit concerned that it would add extra weight to the cone, hence changing the parameters? Or would it be negligable

Hi Simon

Saw Nils live in Stockholm June 5 1975, if You mean the live from 2002 I have heard parts from it but donīt have it, but think the Grin records and the first "solo" are the best. Then he is magic in his role in E street band.

Ingvar

Yes Sir, 2002.

You're a lucky, lucky man, being born when you were, where you were, with the passion for music that you have.. To see such bands..

I still need to get to Grin and his Solo. With the certainty of death and taxes, I'll get to it soon..

Hm, one loose end to pick up here.

Lets do that by backing of 11 years to 1975 and have a look at Nisseīs first soloalbum (they call him Nils in the US)

It actually started with Grin but that was almost also his soloact and Before that Nils Lofgren played with Neil Young
(he was 17 when he played the piano on "after the goldrush".  But this is his real breakthrough on hid own, giant
critical Acclaim and good sales, Keith dontīgo and Back it up had massive Airtime over the World.Has kept his solocareer but
today we mainly see him as a member of the E street band.

Get this first record, only named Nils Lofgren.

Hi Ingvar,

Thank you for this thread, you have opened my eyes, ears and imagination, thank you. Please don't ever stop.
Regarding the quoted text, my favourite has to be Nils Lofgren Band Live..

Good Lord it's excellent. I doubt that you haven't heard it, but one never knows..

I am not sure which section to share but this was reminded on a FB home audio group. All I can say is wow. I got  the blue ray which has options for Atmos or steroe I listened in 2.0 and was blown away.

This might be the closest to crossing the divide between surround sound and home audio as the visual are amazinf as well.

I have posted the Netflix link but woukd strongly advise getting the blue ray copy

Check out "Hans Zimmer: Live in Prague" on Netflix
