Ok, this is my first post in this forum, so I hope it works from my side..

This is my little lady, Technics RS-1500 2 track/4 track 10? RTR..

She is an absolute beauty in my eyes, and I love her to bits, use her daily. Fantastic machine, 30hz-30khz frequency response @ 60db signal to noise ratio at 7,5 and 15ips speed, 20hz to 25khz at 3,15ips speed.

The removable head block houses 4 heads, depending on the configuration you prefer, the machine will either record 2 tracks across the width of the tape, or 4 tracks, being standard 2+2

If you choose a 2 track head block, you have the functionality of 2 track erase, rec and monitor playback, or at a flick of a switch 4 track playback.

If you choose a 4 track head block, you have the functionality of 4 track erase, rev and monitor playback, or at a flick of a switch 2 track playback.

I am very fortunate to have 2 complete spare head blocks as backup, one 2 track and one 4 track, with the one standard on the machine being 2 track.

Sound quality is truly magnificent, double capstan isolated tape loop mechanism, no pressure pads on the heads at all.

All 3 motors are direct drive.

The digital led counter is not standard, that is something that I had designed, built and incorporated into the unit many many years ago when I got her way back in 1986..
