There are one or two members here who advertise gear they have picked up and are wanting to sell

That would be partially ok if the items were as described and worked 100%

To see a cable that can be bought new for R500 being advertised for R550 is irritating.  Likewise something with known faults that was picked up from Gumtree or another sales forum to me seems bordering on the unethical

I myself seem to acquire items from neighbours and customers, but make absolutely sure that their provenance is shown and the stuff is 100% before putting it on here

I appreciate that it is a way to augment one's income, but is disappointing when I see these items advertised
