I got a Geco Audio Emma amplifier to play around with. The amp board states 100w. I imagine that rating is for an 8ohm load. I want to use it to drive two 4 ohm subwoofers until I can find a dedicated amplifier for the subs. One channel per sub. The sub drivers are very power hungry- rated for 500w@ 4 ohm.

My question is, can this amplifier drive 4 ohm loads comfortably? Does it double its power delivery into 4 ohm? I realise that this amplifier will not get the most out of the subs, but I don?t want to damage the amp or subs. I can live with reduced SPL until I?ve sourced stronger amplification.
